Understanding psychology to know yourself better
The importance of psychology in understanding yourself and others
Psychology helps us better understand our emotional, cognitive and social functioning, as well as that of others. By helping us identify our strengths and weaknesses, our needs and our motivations, psychologists enable us to know ourselves better and improve our quality of life. Psychology also offers therapeutic approaches to help people suffering from mental health disorders, stress or relationship difficulties. In short, psychology is a key to understanding yourself better and interacting better with others, for a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Taking care of yourself: the decision to consult a psychologist
Identifying your goals to move forward on the path to recovery
Consulting a psychologist does not necessarily mean that you are suffering from a mental illness; it may simply mean that you need to be listened to and supported during a difficult period of your life. It is important to define your goals in order to move forward on the path to recovery.

PSYCHOTHERAPY
Psychological support
I work with the person-centred and experiential approach, which is part of the humanistic and existential movement. I offer you active support and guidance, adapted to your needs, respecting your own pace and offering you active listening and an empathetic, authentic, caring and non-judgemental attitude. These therapeutic attitudes allow me to explore your uniqueness, to meet you where you are, to be truly present with you in what you are going through, and to offer you a safe space where things can be said, experienced and worked on with complete confidence.
This psychological support aims to identify what is a source of suffering or blockage, to lead you towards a better knowledge of yourself and your resources, to determine your own goals and live a life more in line with who you are, regain confidence in yourself and learn to manage your emotions better. This support can also help you to (re)define a place that helps you to flourish in your life and to go through hardship and change more serenely.
The humanistic approach (re)gives you the role of an active participant in your life, the aim being to guide you gradually towards a personal ability to find your own solutions to deal with your current and future difficulties in a more integrated way, while remaining free in your choices and your pace.
